Support for couples and singles

Hanover provides accommodation for couples and singles from our Southbank and  Dandenong sites. As well as accommodation, we provide a range of services from these sites and from our Fitzroy and Cheltenham sites. Specialist services are provided for young people at our South Yarra site and for women only at our East St Kilda site.

If you’re experiencing homelessness or having problems with your home environment, we can help.

Our services

You may be referred to stay in our accommodation or access one of our programs, in each of these cases you will receive one to one support.

If you stay with us, you will have a dedicated worker who will support you. Our staff will help you to put together a plan which will have positive steps you can take to improve your situation.

One to one support
A worker will meet you with on a regular basis. This might mean offering you support with your current living situation, or assisting with your search for safe, affordable and secure housing. As well as offering support with housing, we can:

  • advise on financial and legal issues
  • talk to other organisations including CentreLink on your behalf
  • put you in touch with other organisations who can help, including legal services, counselling providers, health services, and drug and alcohol services.
