Help a child like Josef this winter

Josef is 10. He can’t write, he struggles to read and he’s often disruptive at school. He’s been homeless most of his short life, so he hasn’t had a chance to learn basic reading and writing skills.

He’s already been to five different schools and lived in seven different suburbs. Sometimes he’s had to sleep in the car with his Mum.

Because he’s not like other kids he feels frustrated, left out and alone.

Without help, Josef is likely to move in and out of homelessness for the rest of his life. But with the right support, things can change for him and thousands of other children like him. Supporting families to keep their kids at school is one of the best ways to prepare them for a better future and break the cycle of homelessness.
